AARO have peddled back on a couple of these statements, such as saying the parallax effect gave a false impression of the speed and direction when filmed from a moving object. However, some spheres have been recorded on satellite sensors and Raytheon radar moving faster than the speed of sound. There is a spherical drone design but it is slow. Here's one discrepancy which I don't understand: Metallic spheres of various sizes and under control are reported all around the world, with no apparent geographical constraints. The triangular UFO, by contrast, is only ever seen in NATO countries, mainly (95%) in the US and UK but also in the Netherlands and Belgium 'flaps'. That suggests the quiet triangle is not alien (otherwise, why would they care about artificial boundaries?) but the sphere might be. Their reach is different. I would guess that some spheres might be mapping or collecting data about living organisms or natural resources, either to curate us (harmless) or as a machine learning, scoping exercise to inform a decision about the next stage (insert concerned emoji here). Just a best guess. I'd love to know for sure.
